1. I would like you to design my site, what do I need to do now/what is the process?
- Fill out the web design quote request form.
- We will contact you to pin down the details of your project and provide you with a quote on your project.
- Once the client has approved of the quote, we'll type up a web design agreement which outlines the scope of the project.
- The client will need to return the web design agreement along with a 50% good faith deposit.
- Once the deposit has been received, work will begin on your project.
- We usually design 2 or 3 mock web site designs based on client input and marketing materials.
- The client chooses which design he/she likes best and advises of any changes he/she wants made.
- We stay in constant contact with the client on the progress of the site. Based on client input the site gets completed.
- After site completion, the client pays the remaining 50% balance.
- The client site is made available on the web.
2. How long does it take for a design to be completed?
- The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavor to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.
3. How much will it cost?
- The cost of a website varies, depending upon the type of site you require. There are quite a few factors that are going to affect the ultimate cost of your web site. These factors include how many pages you are going to have, if you will sell products on your website, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your future web site will be.
We request a 50% deposit for all standard sites. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project. Payments can be made by Bank transfer or by using Paypal. The only ongoing cost will be your annual hosting fee.
4. Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
- No, we do everything for you.
5. What is a Domain Name?
- A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with Network Solutions (the official registrar of domain names ending in .com, .edu, and .gov). Our domain name is "webforu.co.uk".
6. What is Web Hosting?
- Web hosting is a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We can provide web hosting for our clients.
7. What is URL?
- It stands for "universal resource locator". This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.webforu.co.uk to access our home page.
8. Web Site Content - What Do I Put On My Site?
- That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need to purchase from you.
9. What aftersales support do you offer?
- After the completion of a website project we are available for after sales service. Any slight tweaks or amendments are carried out to the site free of charge in the first month. Any support thereafter will be charged at an hourly rate of £30.
10. What is Site Maintenance?
- Site maintenance is a fee paid monthly to keep your site updated with new content that you provide. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back. This is an optional service that we provide for our customers. If you want to maintain your website yourself you can do so.
11. Why can't I find my web site in the search engines?
- Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed depends on each individual Search Engines database update schedule. Watch your server traffic logs for visiting spiders.
